Follow-Up Protocol
I have noticed that oncologists in the US have a far more rigid follow up protocol for my case. Mainly due to the fact that
Paraplatin was still considered an experimental treatment in the US, whereas in Europe it was commonly used, even favored to the conventional radiotherapy. The following protocol is a protocol I have agreed upon with two oncologists in Switzerland.
My Case:
Seminoma Stage I (risk factor size: 4cm x 4cm x 6cm).
2 Rounds of Paraplatin as adjuvant chemotherapy.
CT Scan:
Years 1-2: Every 6 months
Years 2-3: Once a year
Years 4-6: Every 1.5 years.
Blood tests and Physical:
Years 1-2: Every 3 months
Year 3: Every 4 months
Years 4-5: Every 6 months
